LakesWater Quality 2013 Symposium
Thursday 4th July, RDC Civic Centre, 1061 Haupapa Street, Rotorua
To encourage the reduction of Nitrate leaching to Lake Rotorua, the RDC Proposed District Plan includes provision for the allocation of Transferable Development Rights (TDRs). TDRs will convey an additional subdivision right for one extra lot per TDR.
District Plan Hearings will begin on the 8th July. The LWQS Symposium on the 4th July – which has RDC support – seeks to explore this commendable initiative in greater detail to ensure optimal policy decisions result.
Registration is complimentary to LWQS members, RDC Councillors and staff, and BOP Regional Councillors and staff. Members of the general public are also very welcome to attend – membership subscription will be available at the registration desk on payment of the $5 membership fee and $15 donation ($20 in total). Tea breaks and lunch will be catered courtsey of the Rotorua District Council. Printed Proceedings will subsequently be available.
